I love it there due to the eddy in the center when the water is on. Can loop a giant circle all night without touching the motor and stay in the hot zone. My largest striper there is only 17lbs., but always fish it in the heat of Summer.
I don't know why you don't use top water when they're exploding on the top. You don't. It don't make sense to me. I'd rather fish top water to watch them blow up than use that. Damn umbrella rig Christmas tree ring you use😊
That's my favorite spot. There's always crazy stuff there. Stripers, musky, otters, bald eagles, snakes. I was on the bank last summer and a lake sturgeon just casually swam by. I estimate it was about 6ft long. If you see a Crescent kayak tossing big swimbaits, that's me.
How in the world did those hooks not get bent! As soon as those hit you just hear your drag absolutely blazing like a jet engine. Since that fish went for your crotch does that technically make it a blowfish 😂😂😂😂he was trying to take your rod and your manhood😂😂😂that was insane! Congrats

have you consider using big swimbaits? a rig catches fish but you may be missing out on the jumbo striper potential
