Awesome fishing! Heard you guys talking about this day on the podcast the other week, this must have been what, last week of April? I went out last week for my first time and man its daunting, got a few but never put it together. I think i caught them right in the middle of the spawn when a lot of the fish are worn down, you guys seem to have gotten that awesome pre spawn window.
Thoughts on paddling out there in a kayak?
The Flats is my main fishery and Love it ! You can catch so many different fish from Large Mouth, small mouth, stripers, snakehead, walleye, yellow perch and more. You should come back up when the grass is all grown in and go frog fishing for the Bass.
Forget the bass the rockfishing here on the flats is world class. Arguably the best in the bay
