We Found River Otters While Fly Fishing… Then the Fish Started Biting

We headed to Yellow Creek and made the hike to where it meets the Cuyahoga River inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We weren’t sure what we’d find, but the day quickly turned into one of our favorite adventures yet.

Along the way we spotted an incredible family of river otters, Daniel hooked into a silver shiner, and I managed to land a carp on the fly rod. Between the wildlife, the scenery, and the unexpected catches, this trip is one we won’t forget.
