Back at Lake Perris for an after-work fishing session after being away from the lake for a couple of weeks.
A lot has changed since my last trip. Many of the shallow areas I normally fish are now heavily covered with vegetation, making it much harder to work some of my usual spots. I stayed with the shallow bite for most of the evening and managed to catch three bass.
Before calling it a day, I moved offshore and picked up another fish in about 25 feet of water. That one fish has me thinking it might finally be time to spend more time away from the bank.
On my next trip to Perris, I’m planning to focus much more on the 20–25 foot range and see if the deeper water is holding better-quality bass.
Thanks for watching and following along with my Lake Perris fishing trips. If you’ve been fishing Perris recently, let me know what you’re seeing out there.
