Lake of the Ozarks Bass Fishing – 4 Aug 2026 | Fishing report

We launched out of LORA on Lake of the Ozarks on 4 August 2026 and had another solid summer fishing day.

We fished from 0700 to 1400 with 81-degree water, blue skies, light south wind, and slightly stained water. We ended the day with 34 total fish, 6 keepers, 31.7 pounds total recorded weight, and a best five weighing 10.6 pounds.

The main pattern was the bank bite. We caught 28 of our 34 fish on the bank, with a few more coming around boat docks, a bluff wall, and one laydown.

The best bait was a 5-inch PBJ worm, which produced 17 fish and 4 keepers. The white swimbait was the best moving bait, catching 11 fish, including one keeper around a boat dock. We also picked up a good keeper on a green pumpkin Speed Craw around a laydown.

Main patterns:
5-inch PBJ worm on the bank
White swimbait around banks and boat docks
Speed Craw around laydowns
Bank produced most of the fish
Bluff wall and laydown produced quality keeper bites
