Lake of the Ozarks Bass Fishing – 18 Aug 2026 | Fishing report
We launched out of Larry Gale on Lake of the Ozarks on 18 August 2026 for another summer bass fishing trip.
We fished from 0715 to 1415 with 85-degree water, clear skies, a light breeze, and slightly stained water. We ended the day with 27 fish, 5 keepers, 25.9 pounds total recorded weight, and a best five weighing 9.7 pounds.
This was a soft-plastic day. The 5-inch PBJ worm was the best numbers bait, catching 15 fish and producing 3 keepers. The Pig Stick worm in Green Pumpkin Watermelon caught 12 fish and produced 2 keepers, including the biggest bass of the day at 2.33 pounds.
The main locations were bank, boat docks, bluff walls, breakwater, one laydown, and a dock walkway. The bank produced the most fish, but the better bites were spread across several shoreline targets.
We also mentioned in the video that we actually did better on keepers and big bass at Roubidoux Creek in Waynesville on 13 August than we did on this Lake of the Ozarks trip. We will link that video here for fun:
