I launched the kayak on Seneca Lake with one goal in mind: catch a lake trout.

Before heading out to deeper water, I spent some time fishing the shoreline and found a few bass hanging out in the shallows. After that, I made my way offshore, started working deeper water, and eventually connected with the fish I came for—a Seneca Lake trout!

There’s nothing better than spending a day on one of New York’s Finger Lakes, exploring different depths, chasing multiple species, and enjoying the time on the water.
