I Left It Until THE LAST HOUR… Then This Happened! Fatboy PB's | Gunbower Creek Drawdown

The Gunbower Creek drawdown is well underway, and finding fishable water is becoming harder by the day.

For Day 1 of this trip, I decided to “chase the water” and locate sections still holding enough depth to attract quality Murray cod. With cooler temperatures starting to settle in, the goal wasn’t numbers—it was finding that one special fish that makes the trip worthwhile.

To make things even more interesting, this was the first serious outing for a brand-new outfit, paired with an exclusive McCreddens Fishing reel that would soon receive a serious workout.

The day wasn’t easy. I covered plenty of water, adjusted my approach, and stayed persistent right through until the final hours.
