Grundy Lake Fishing Report – June 2026

During a 3-day camping trip to Grundy Lake Provincial Park in June 2026, I tested the shore fishing opportunities on several of the park’s lakes including Clear Lake, Grundy Lake, and Gurd Lake. Fishing entirely from shore, I used a variety of lures and live bait to see what the park had to offer. Over the trip I landed four fish, including a sunfish, a chunky rock bass, a beautiful northern pike, and a colourful smallmouth bass. The standout lure of the trip was a hot pink Little Rooster Tail picked out by my wife, which fooled the northern pike. The final fish of the adventure was a gorgeous bronze smallmouth bass caught on a worm suspended beneath a bobber. It was the perfect way to wrap up a successful fishing and camping getaway in one of Ontario’s most scenic provincial parks. Beyond the fishing, Grundy Lake showcased its incredible wildlife and healthy ecosystem. During the trip I observed painted turtle and snapping turtle nesting areas, spotted a moose cow with her calf, and encountered many other animals throughout the park.
