Don’t Let Them LIE To You! Even Pro Bass Anglers Struggle on the Lake
Bass fishing videos usually show you the giant fish, the perfect patterns and the days when everything works hiding the ugly truth —but the reality is that every pro gets humbled – and often you get a lie about the struggle. The truth is when I was a kid, my dad took me to fish a tournament, we caught exactly ZERO bass, then came back to the ramp and watched guys weigh enormous bags. That day stuck with me for years, so I finally went back looking for a little revenge. In this video I start by covering grass and big flats with a ChatterBait JackHammer, but when the clouds disappear and fishing pressure increases, I have to completely change gears and start flipping and punching submerged grass that you can’t even see from the surface. It turns into a technical grind, but eventually we put together roughly a 15–16 pound bag and catch one of the biggest bass I’ve ever caught there. I break down the exact ChatterBait setup, the submerged-grass flipping pattern, how I use electronics to identify hidden vegetation, the tungsten punch rig and why sometimes the difference between sucking and catching them is simply admitting your original plan isn’t working and changing it. #bassfishing #bassnation #tournament #travel #fall
