How to Catch Fall Bass When the Bite Gets Tough

Fall bass fishing can get frustrating when the wind dies, the water slicks off, and the moving-bait bite suddenly disappears. When that happens, I stop forcing the fast stuff and switch to a finesse approach designed for clear water and tough conditions.

In this video, I break down how to catch fall bass when the bite gets tough, including where I look on tapering points and steep rock walls, how I fish a light 1/16- to 1/8-ounce ball-head jig with a finesse worm, and why the slow natural fall can trigger bass that won’t chase anything else.

You’ll also learn why I use spinning gear and 6-pound fluorocarbon, how to keep the bait tight to steep rock, and how to detect the subtle slack-line bites that are easy to miss.
When the usual fall crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwaters stop producing, slowing down with this presentation can turn a bad day into a very good one.
