Camping and Fishing the North Woods – Smallmouth Bass!

Nothing beats early morning smallmouth bass fishing in the North Woods. I took the kayak out on the lake to test the water and landed a great catch.

There is something special about waking up at the campsite and launching directly into calm, quiet water. Getting out on a kayak allows me to navigate the shoreline and find active fish that are holding tight to cover.

This trip was all about enjoying the serenity of the lake while targeting these aggressive predators. It is the perfect way to spend a morning, and the bite was active enough to keep things interesting from start to finish.
