Fishing in Big River for large-mouth bass in shallow, chilly water

Unexpected catches are always the most rewarding part of a day on the water. Today, I headed out to Big River and was pleasantly surprised to reel in a largemouth bass, a species I rarely encounter or target in this specific waterway. Navigating the shallow, chilly water presented a unique environment, but the effort ultimately paid off with a fantastic catch. While they aren’t the primary fish I usually aim for here, landing this bass was definitely a trip highlight. 🎣🐟
