Backyard Bass’N (Non-Stop Action)

The storm clouds barely cleared before this backyard honey hole completely lit up. When the barometric pressure drops and the post-rain runoff starts, the bite turns electric. I pulled over to hit this spot right after a passing shower, and it was absolute non-stop action from the very first cast.

We were landing big bass left and right, completely dialed in on a finesse swimbait pattern. A lightweight swimbait rigged on an 1/8th ounce jig head was all it took to keep rods bent back-to-back as these fish fed aggressively in the fresh water. They were practically fighting each other to inhale it on the retrieve.

For the final fish of the video, the bass pushed deep into the heavy cover, forcing a quick audible. I pitched a 1/2 oz Bassmooch jig paired with a Congo Craw trailer straight into the thickest grass I could find and wrenched out an absolute tank to close out the session.
