Bass fishing – Fly vs Lure Fishing

I had a friendly fly vs bass fishing competition with my son during a trip to Anglesey. It was a glorious sunny day and we thought it was going to be tough fishing but the bass put in an appearance.

My son got off the mark quickly with a couple of small bass lure fishing. However, it wasn’t long before I had a double hook up on the fly. In the end I had 10 bass on the fly to his 7 on the lure. The last fish of the day on the fly was the biggest.

I’m sure he will get his revenge with the lure on our next trip 🙂
