Bank Fishing for Largemouth Bass at Rock Cut State Park

Walking the banks of Pierce Lake in Loves Park, Illinois! We’re out at Rock Cut State Park getting a few casts in days before the high school fishing teams launch for their tournament. But their pre fishing this week! We’re throwing a small Ozark Trail jerk bait to trigger reaction strikes from largemouth bass along the shore. Pierce Lake is a scenic 162-acre reservoir with a maximum depth of 36 feet, but with the heavy boat pressure on tournament days, you have to hit the banks early to get on the fish!

It was an awesome day out on the water with my boys, rocking the Bears gear and keeping the continuous pursuit of multi-species fishing alive.
