This early morning trip to Lake Norman seemed destined to be special from the very beginning with a beautiful sunrise casting a pink glow on the water. I decided to start cranking along the riprap by the 150 bridge. It was a good call. As soon as we got to the point next to the bridge pilings I hooked a bass that came off before the fight really began. Two cast later, I had a giant on the other end of my line. See what happens, there were multiple firsts on this day that may lead to more big bass in the future.
