You’ll never see this Skeeter Zx250 Again!! | My last Bass Fishing Tournament on the Potomac

12th Place! Plenty of good local sticks in the Potomac River Bass Fishing Tournament.

It has been a great boat, a stellar ride, and I couldn’t have chosen a better first boat. That said there are some things I want to have on my boat and I never intended to keep it longer than a couple of years. August Bass fishing can be the hardest of the year! Summer heat coupled with low grass development has made the Potomac river very stingy in the past couple of weeks.

  1. Yes started in bass when I was 16 as a co.. fished bass tourny for years. Being short boated all day and not even having a say in my half of day was a killer for me.. even at 17 18 yo I fished almost every weekend knew some of the lakes but yet "pro" did his thing.. now 53 and all a pro is in my eyes is the guy with the boat and bigger entry money.. love how you helped both in the boat.. gave up bass tourny and started walleye in 95 been doing it ever since… met forest woods he took me out for breakfast only cause my dad was running mon arch bass boats and he wanted me to tell him to buy one lol first ranger 370 models with a jack plate.. but back then max hp was 150 anyways…

  2. I hope you got another skeeter! I just bought my first fiberglass boat and it is a 1999 skeeter 185c with a 175 vmax. Almost everything on it is new (powerhead, lower unit, carpet, 4 batteries and seats). I absolutely love this boat so far. It is a major jump over my 2000 bass tracker 175 with a 40 hp. I can't wait to tournament fish more (wasn't too safe on my small lake running with other 20-21 foot boats running wide open while I topped out at 28mph). I know this skeeter is just as good as any new boat and will keep up with them speed wise as well (easily cruises 40 mph at 3/4 trim and around 1/4 throttle).

  3. Bring the new boat down to Kerr or somewhere around Albemarle sound. I’ll show you around and we’ll catch some fish. I lived in and fished Texas for several years. My wife went to Texas Tech too. Small world.

  4. Hey man enjoy the tournament videos. I'm currently with my first boat (Triton Tr186), but I'm moving out of NC to Lake St Clair. I'm thinking I need a bigger boat…maybe a 20-21ft ranger? What boat are you getting?

  5. Question: in your bfl tournaments, whats the lowest boat a person can use? Is everyone rocking brand new 250hp boats or are there some older boats with less hp in the mix? Thanks man! Great content

  6. LMAO @ 3:57 🤣🤣🤣🤣 On a serious note, I’m glad to hear that you don’t have the “Well, it was done to me so I’ll do it to other’s” attitude. If I were into tournament fishing, I’d be your Co-Angler anytime. Looking forward to seeing the “video tour” of your new boat in the near future. Congratulations on your placement in the Division and best of luck in the next ones!

  7. Good finish for this division. I will miss the last tournament as I am fishing another division, but was sitting 12th in the division after this event. Tough day when my 3 fish beat some 5 fish limits! I had a truly awesome guy for a co angler, he fished hard and caught fish behind me.
