4100 fishermen have signed up.
Sexy shad all day long lol.
Chartreuse and black back absolutely crushes for me during the warmer months, especially night fishing! Recently been catching them on black cranks like 6th sense crush in black magic or a lipless in Colin’s craw.
Great info!
Great topic!
Caught them on Sam Rayburn this past weekend, with the exact colors you shared…. I’m not a fan of crankbaits, but it was a logical choice with the exact conditions you described, and payed off big time…👍👍

Very very comprehensive thank you very much for sharing this is awesome information
I want to say thanks for all the fishing tips I have learned so much from your channel keep them coming.
Man oh man Randy, this video is like the oil wars on some of the sport bike and power sports forums. Amsoil, no Redline, no Yamalube, no Lucas Oil lol hahaha.
Well anyway, I've read that Bass see green and blue the best based on tests. Not sure how accurate this is. But according to my records this is what I have to share.
Last 8 years of bass fishing
Gold spoon 23.5" – late Feb
Chartreuse Spinnerbat 21"- late Nov
Blue Xrap – 18.5" , 17", 16" -Mid Mar
Perch color , 17" 16" – Mid Mar
Black spoon 20", 18.5" ,17" – Early Apr
White Black spoon 20.5" – mid July
Just a few from my notes. I've thrown a silver Rapala 15 times, switch to a blue and Bam! 2-3 in the same spot!!
In early spring. When I fish the duckweed, color don't matter. I used 4 different colors in 2 ft of water. Banged 15 + 16 inchers in same area at same time.
It's taken my near 20 years, fishing multiple lakes in Indiana.
I can say this. Right bait at the right time at the right place.
Kayak fisherman here. I can sneak into areas very quietly with hardly any disturbance. Take care buddy. Your bass fishing fan out here in Indiana 🤘🇺🇸
What hooks do you use on your crankbaits?
I don't know much about bass but in the saltwater I've done best with silver reflective finishes or white body with a red head. I've had luck on cloudy days with gold too. I had a mylar skirted trolling lure that caught fish every time I used it. I think flashy baits that imitate local bait have caught me the most fish overall.
Feel like a dummy for asking, but where is this link for Baitwrx to give your channel credit?
I live and die by one rule: "If it ain't chartreuse, it ain't no use." 😁
Just tie on a Figertiger Plug and turn on Lowrance Active Target.
5 fish fish limit easy!
How about fishing up northeast Missouri in muddy to stained water. I'd like to see what you'd do up here. I challenge you to try it with me sometime. It don't always work the way you'd like it too with named baits. Give em' what THEY want.
According to science white and chartreuse look the same to a bass.
Thank You Randy for the great information.
Please do more videos like this one.👍👍
What do you think about crank baits In late April
Baitfish pattern can be from a shiner , a shad , a baby bass , a perch , a baby crappie , the other pattern is a crawfish : this is the reds , oranges , and browns and can also be your greens like green pumpkin , browns like pumpkin seed , great explanation mr Randy , loved it
Great info on colors. I have several colors and sizes of the S Crank. They all work.
I am terrible about not making bait changes as the day and light progresses. If I find a crank bait that is working, then the bite slows, I often think the bass quit biting. But in reality, the direction of the sun light, the cloud cover and water clarity probably changed and I did not adapt to the conditions.
Natural, unatural, and random colors.
Agreed, thanks for the video
Always believed color was a refining factor, after speed, location, depth, and presentation. Cool vid 👍
Nice looking crank baits. ✅ 28
Thanks Randy for sharing the tips, always feel smarter after one of your tip videos 🎣🙂
You hate sexy shad!
Years ago Roland pushed the color select, so I tried it. That was money ill spend. It work on the premise of light at depth. Lure shade, water color & light condition as you said are a far better means to determine lure colors. Yes I will go for the Hail Mary if nothing else seems to work! I try to get into the mind of the bass when I'm on the lake and at times it just makes my head hurt. More often than not I can get them to the boat but we all have those days that are quite taxing. I think that's why it's such a great sport.
thanks randy..
You’ve mentioned the Perch pattern a few times now. I just tied a perch crankbait on a few mins ago. I’m interested to see if it works because there are no Perch in the lakes and ponds and rivers here in Louisville.
Wait… I thought sexy shad sucks
Green copper shad!
Great video
Hey, you weren't negative today!
Ata boy!!
