How do you find a blue watermelon hula grub? They don’t even make that color anymore let alone any company that makes it
I have to ask… Where did you get green pumpkin blue flk hula grubs. I love that color and struggle to find it in any bait…let alone a hula grub

I gotta go with a wacky rigged worm. I catch fish on accident with that presentation. A close second is a Caffeine Shad on a hover rig. The amount of action and glide you get is unreal!

Good stuff Matt! This year at my lake the drop shot has been a big disappointment. Last Summer ('22) it slayed them. I keep the DS tied on all year but, I have lost some of my confidence with it. Now the Finesse TRD in green pumpkin has done well and is a constant with me. It has to be my number one confidence bait and, my fish never seem to tire of it like they have the drop shot. Some days I just tell myself I'm going to leave the TRD on and just fish it. It never disappoints.
how do you like to rig the hulla grub?
I never knew Keitech made 2”, 3” & 3.5” Spider Grubs (ultra finesse Hula Grubs) until I watched your channel. I make my own spiral keeper jig hooks for them and they are just deadly.
Wait! Can a hula grub fit ok a hover rig? Not sure if that would be a viable option for a bait but it could have a nice slow fall and the twin tail grub and kick as well.
I really like how some of these styles are becoming more and more prevalent, especially in highly pressured waters

When I first started fishing for bass I didn't know there was anything else besides a Texas rigged hula grub lol.
I went fishing yesterday & the fish were busting bait, they were focused only on them, I tried every small lure I could think of & I got one to commit on a weightless white worm, but I do believe that the hover rig would have helped me catch them. so I'm ordering some of them along with that chatterbait you suggested! Thanks Matt

Choppers Hula grub for the win here in Missouri. I cut my teeth 25 years ago at Table Rock Lake. Still catching them on it. Just can’t tell everyone the color. Yes it does make a difference. Lol.
hula grub doesn't work like it used to in my opinion. hard to believe they still on the market
