YETI Presents: The Catch

A 13-year old boy loving to fish isn’t that remarkable. A 13-year old boy being a pretty good angler — well, that’s not too unexpected either. But a 13-year old boy landing a lake record for catching a bass about half his size in the middle of downtown Austin? Now that’s worth talking about. Watch Grant Langmore (and his fishing club) unearth veritable river monsters in The Catch.

  1. It would be an honor if you guys will partner up with me by joining my mission to hook kids on fish-in I’m a volunteer at the oldest bank fishing tournament in the country that takes place in New Orleans.Teaching kids, how to fish tie on lures and teach them how to cast is what I love. When I was a kid I didn’t have a mom or dad that took me fishing, because my mother was killed in a car accident😞 one of my reasons I will always make time to help spread the love of fishing throughout my community because nobody took me 😞 The bank fishing tournament take place in New Orleans Louisiana ,at a park called city park. I set up a booth and throughout the year I buy kids, fishing rods, reels,& a few tackle boxes, in hopes to hook a few kids on fishing I like to call it changing lives one cast at a time.

  2. There's ANOTHER blond hair kid named Austin (he's about 14 now) that catches HUGE Largemouth Bass over in the Auditorium Shores Pond across the street from where Grant fishes. I've had the pleasure of fishing with Austin on many occasions. Austin has pulled MANY a huge Largemouth Bass out of this pond (not a 13.5 pounder though). Austin has caught 3.5, 4, & 5 pounders out of the Auditorium Shores Pond. I look forward to fishing with him again. He's probably moved on to bigger waters to catch bigger fish.

  3. Way to go grant. I've been lucky enough to get 2 bass over 10 lbs in over 30 years of fishing. Once in virginia on Kent lake. 12.7 and believe it or not a 10.3 from town lake Austin Texas. Both catches were many years ago but I remember them like they were yesterday.

  4. Don't Mess with Texas young anglers…Great job young man…Im Texan born in 1958 and the problem with todays people is modern technology photo shop, internet cameras on phones..I'm sure he wasnt the only young man to catch a big fish years before all this modern tech. age because in 70s, 60's and before most anglers didnt carry cameras. We went to fish….So you dont need to prove jack to anyone with a photo and if they dont believe well thats their problem…Be old school, you know the truth and if your word & a photo aint good enuff, at least you and the good Lord know what what you caught…Truth is a man's honest word…..
