Great video, Randy! I enjoy the videos where you cover the topic of catching big bass!
we got 18 inch smallies here in western PA
A lot of my big bass have been caught on a black buzzbait, a variety of large noisy topwater lures, a full-size jig, glidebaits, and small finesse plastic baits fished slow. Most were caught in 4 to 8 ft of water. I caught some big ones on deep diving crankbaits and senkos, but I'm not a big fan of fishing with these lures.
Fished jerkbait yesterday using your techniques and area you explained in saturdays video. First cast 5.5 pounder! No electronics on in the boat! Thanks Randy for your time on these videos. It really helps us average joes!!
Do most bass angler understand the term, ( traditional fishing versus FFS fishing, the new age of high tec, is upon us, FFS will show you if your fishing big fish, can't argue that, so Randy, all else being the same, want to catch big fish, like the latest winner of the classic did, FFS is the tool needed an it ain't gonna go away. an like you said many times, FFS used right will help a angler place his bait on big fish, if the water holds big fish, an there in lies the future, can the bass population tolerate the catching of big bass that went untuched before FFS.
Fair chase makes the outdoorsman. Without it, you're no longer an outdoorsman. We'll need a new term.
As Fox News likes to proclaim " fair and balanced reporting …" lol. How about talking about what anglers under 30 have to say? All we ever hear from you is from guys in there 60s and 70s and now 80s. Don't take this the wrong way but the future of the sport lies in the hands of what 20 and 30 year olds do, not in what 70 and 80 year olds say ….
