Let’s go fishing!! Matt is back on the Tennessee River after the Buyer’s Guides, and he’s ready to catch some fish! Watch as he eliminates water, builds a pattern, and starts catching fish! By the end he’s catching them on every cast!
Whenever you’ve been away from the lake it takes time to locate fish. Today Matt got some clues with the Tactical Micro Rig, but really had to work for the rest of the puzzle pieces. By the end he figured out a great lipless crankbait bite, and that topwater fish was an awesome late–season bonus fish!
Below you’ll find links to all the baits he caught fish on. We’ve included the exact sizes and colors for each, as well as some of the great rod and reel combos he was fishing. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each.

Love the buyers guides and use them but i super glad youre back on the water filming!!!
Great to see you back out on the water Matt! Next to fishing myself, my favorite way to start the day- coffee and the latest TB video.
I've been watching you two for a while and have wanted to get into the A-rig fishing. I have seen you develope your own A-rig systems and have noticed prior to your rigs that you always changed the rings. How about your rigs, are the rings the quality you expect to throw or do we need to change the Tactical A-rig rings also?
Any favorite night time winter baits in December ?
Ngl the it still feels wierd to be able to open water fish year round. Im so used to to getting ready to be ice fish back home in Wisconsin by now 😅
Here in Nj top water bite has gone missing. Only thing hitting up top are pickerel. All my good bass recently have come on a spinnerbait or underspin
21° here in Pennsylvania. I tried fishing a local lake yesterday and there was ice on all my gear. It was making it hard for me to even retrieve lures come on spring
20° here in Indiana. Matt
Did you mean to drop the hook that was in that fish's lip into the water after you pulled it out? I'm guessing it was just a muscle memory by the way you didn't react to the realization
Good morning Matt 👋🏻
Why did you hinge from the 845 to the 855 for lips? Are they much different?..
Right now in Chicago, my air temp, NOT wind chill, is 12°F.🥶
Thanks!
We're walking on ice up here in Northern Wisconsin.
When your doing the burn pause burn pause with the lipless could a jerkbait have the same affect if that's working on a smallmouth fishery and never really had luck on lipless
Back to biz as usual!! Me and the wife going throw a buzz bait , A rig, spinner bait and crank bait tomorrow water is 65°-68° and bite is on fire.
Unfortunately we are transitioning into ice 🧊 fishing here in the midwest 😢open water 💧 is going away
Winter fishing!!! I was picking ice out of my guides walking the river a few days ago. Caught a few nice smallies. Thanks Matt I've been itching for this video.
Your videos are always full of ideas and creativity. Thank you for the inspiration!🧲♀️🥐
