  1. So I have some standing timber in a lake that was left before flooding a lake beside/in the channel in some places. Bottom depth 40-50ft and the trees extend up to 25-15 feet. below the surface. I do not have FFS, just SIDI + traditional. I have some DD crankbaits to bounce off the cover, but I also will be trying some "old school" active sonar. Any suggestions for working in the trees? I had planned on weedless dropshot, maybe some jig+minnows on cheap reg and weedless jig hooks. I have a plug knocker so maybe spoons but I don't want to spook them off before having a chance either. Maybe even go vertical with a swim jig? A precisely tuned float n fly?

Any suggestions? The timber is scattered on channel swing sections so it ought to be a great winter holding area.

  2. Man that heated wet suit came in just in time. Hope everybody had a blessed and happy thanksgiving. As always great info and video from Hank and Mike. You guys rock. 💯% squad
