Nice video. Back in the 80's a bucktail jig was my go to on Lanier come November and December. Mostly would catch stripers. No electronics, just following the birds and blow ups in open water. You might even see a boat or two :} The way we target these spots have changed with the introduction of BBH and the wide selection of artificial baits. Of course, electronics have changed the way we fish also. I still keep bucktail jigs on board as of today, might have to break them out!
I’ll take Freezing the fingers for some 4+ pounders any day but a couple of mega hand warmers in the coat pockets might be in order next time out. Sleep is over-rated when there is still good fishing to be done. Rocks and open hook jigs can get expensive, especially when you’re using Tungsten like we are forced to do up here.
