I have a bass book that was talking about this exact lure and I was thinking damn that's an old style lure but it won a few tourneys in the 80s same kinda concept as an under spin I guess
Always got my metal and hair jig boxes set for winter. One of my favs is a baitfish profile hair jig, Spro makes them. I wet the jig to expose a clean hook. Add a smaller swim tail swimbait. Zoom swim Fluke Jr and LUNKER City Grubster are my favorites. It’s almost like a downsized striper/saltwater bait. The hair breathes around that swim tail when slowed or on bottom.
I lost all my original little George's…..the new stuff is really nice…

I never really did well with the tail spin. I’ve had some of my best days a specially for numbers on a Blade Bait and Jigging spoon. I think I’ve caught more in a day on the other heavy metal as I’ve caught in my life on a tail spin. I don’t even carry them in the boat.

Some good tips man, I use a lot of these techniques for perch over here in Germany. I grew up in Florida but was stationed over here with the Army. Mike when are you coming back over to Europe to come catch some more big European perch?
Great video Mike! Interesting tip about clipping the bottom trouble on the tail spinners and the blade baits. Did you and Ben do this when you were flipping blade baits in shallow cover recently?

I’ll be heading to Tennessee from California 1/1/21 to do some wintertime bass fishing with my buddy who lives out there… I do have a few Damiki tail spins and a hand full of blade baits.
