Which baits do you think will have a resurgence this year on the BPT and the NPFL with no forward facing sonar? It’s going to be very interesting and i’m excited to get back to some old school fishing.

I think the top 5 baits that are going to be winners when you can't use your electronics are: Spinner bait w/swim bait trailer, Chatterbait, Jerk bait, wacky worm, and a frog. Those are the 5 I'd have tied on. A square bill would be my 6th.
There’s always a trap bite. I carry 3 boxes in my boat
MDJ,
You have a great game plan going into the season. Without FFS you will have to use " old school strategies". Top water mornings will be returning. It will be about finding the cover the bass like.
Man as someone who lives up north I can't wait for the spring
1 thing you can’t stop throwing is a spinnerbait an a buzzbait!!
So glad to see REAL fishing coming back! Not to mention biologists are trying to figure out what to do about the devastating effects these sonars are having on our fisheries. People are already seeing declining numbers of crappie and up north the walleye are taking a heavy hit too. Personally i think all the FFS should be outlawed by all. I know im gonna get a bunch of hate for that but if you can't catch fish without a tv screen you need to learn.
Swing head jigs…cover a lot of water and catches them!
When I heard "Baits not used anymore" I was thinking of the Bill Lewis Echo. Very specific applications, but one of my favorite squarebills to throw. Good luck this season Mark!
I'm so glad that you all will be getting back to real Bass fishing and not riding around on the boat playing a video game. I had stopped watching the tournaments because of it.
Why don’t pros throw flukes? That’s my favorite lure and it flat out catches them.
You got the big bro,
Best bait for me last year was torpedo and zoom finesse worm in smokin green
“Scope us to sleep” lol
Good luck this year Mark! If you don't find your frogs that's bad luck.
Real fishing
I’m happy they took away the forward sonar. I feel like it was cheating and took the true meaning of fishing away
Have a question Mark love watching yall guys all 4 of yall what do think would be the out come if the old school angles that got bump out due to front facing sonar where able to fish in 2025 with the different rules do you think they would do better because of the rules going back to just fishing hope you get you a win one this year so yall all can have one good luck boss man !!!!
Great video Mark. Looking forward to the new season.
It’s on this year. I can’t wait. Mark let’s mix it up and get busy. It’s your year bro. Believe that. You can do it. You didn’t come in second place in that Bass Master Classic by luck. Let’s put our head down and put the smack down for 2025!
I store my Spinnerbaits in a Plano edge spinnerbait box
Im happy about the changes. Definitely will be more interesting to watch too me.
SPINNER BAIT STORAGE! Buzbe half large fast flats!!! Trust will change your spinner bait storage forever
Brother I think you should focus on the spots more than anything. I know you know the bait rotations. I think what it’s about now is finding the transition spots and having fish come to you during the tournament I know that’s easier said than done . But they will be bedding soon so shallow spots should be hitting soon !
Talking about old school I just started fishing and I’m catching a lot of big mouth on 1/2 ounce rooster tails believe it or not
Now you're getting my interest again. I fully understand players having to play by the rules and playing field in front of them, but ffs is shit to watch. I watch trying to pick up little tips as much as the competition. If TV tournaments watch to stay relevant ffs needs to take a seat way in the back.
Good luck this year MDJ!!!!!! Will be cheering you on from Arkansas!!
I really lost interest in watching tournament fishing last year. I am really excited to watch again this year. Wishing you the best of luck, Mark.
I’m so happy. Now I can fall back in love with the sport of Bass fishing.
Don't forget your range finder, as with all them old guys fallowing each other down the bank ya need to keep the proper distance between your boats
