In the first of our regular, fortnightly “Monday Memories” episodes, Starlo digs back into The Fishing DVD archives and shares a fantastic segment from the early 2000s, chasing wild bass on the Manning River in northern NSW with gun fishing journalist David Seaman… Enjoy!

“The Fishing DVD” (later changing its name to Fishing Downunder) was a much-loved quarterly video magazine that appeared for many years during the early 2000s and became a firm favourite with lots of Aussier anglers, as well as numerous overseas fans. Produced by the dynamic duo of John & Peta Haenke, this DVD series represents a priceless archive of angling action from right around the country and beyond… and now we are delighted to share it with a whole new generation of fishers!

The Haenkes are now semi-retired and living in Bowen, north Queensland, but still very active in fishing (especially John’s passion of fly fishing). John has also revealed his artistic streak and eye for detail via his on-line shop selling his original artwork in several formats. You’ll find that outlet here: https://artwork-by-john-haenke.square.site/

If you love this video and the channel, please consider shouting Starlo a beer (or buying him a coffee!) for as little as $5 to help him produce lots MORE great YouTube content for your viewing pleasure! To do so, simply go to: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/starlo
Thanks… and cheers!
