Fall is one of the best times of the year to throw a crankbait, and in this video I break down 4 fall crankbait tips that help me catch more bass. These are simple adjustments you can take straight to the water, whether you’re fishing a lake, reservoir, river, or pond, from a boat or from the bank.

As water temperatures drop, bass follow the shad into creeks, flats, and shallow cover to feed up for winter. A crankbait lets you cover water fast and find those schools of fish, but the anglers who catch the most fall bass on a crankbait make small changes that most people overlook. Depth, size, color, and how the bait deflects off cover all matter more than you’d think. I’ll show you how I choose the right crankbait for fall conditions, where I throw it, and the retrieve tricks that trigger reaction strikes from bass chasing baitfish.
