  3. Just the video I needed! Quick, full of great useful info and i love your theories regarding the bass daily rotations (I mainly fish for smallmouth and it made total sense).
    Keep it up

  4. I absolutely love early morning fishing! Just today I got up at 4:30 and was on the water by 5. That being said I don’t catch many fish early morning. I just love being out on that water that time of day with a thermos of coffee.

  5. Not sure about the rest of the country, but up here in western NY, I can’t catch any fish until mid day. It’s like the bass up here are like drug dealers who sleep till 2pm. Then they wake up and bite everything! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  6. I love early morning fishing. I fish the bank and it's nice to be the only one out. I also like hearing the birds and seeing life start to wake up. It's relaxing. I've also caught 4 of my biggest bass early in the morning.

  7. Very good!!!! As always, very informative. I would like to sorta comment on suspending fish. Im also an avid night fisherman, as well as love to get out and sweat it all day on those ledges and brushpiles. I’ve noticed, with three decades of night tournaments, that ALL bass on just about every body of water I know, will TEND to feed strongly in the first few hours and the last hour or so of daylight, (not sunrise, daylight). Fish that we see suspended over ledges and structure, IMO, are the fish we catch on that stuff, MOSTLY. You can actually watch fish come out of suspension and go to the structure and start feeding with active sonar. I’ve done it. In my part of the country, carp are the prominent marks we see in suspension during the day, along with gar, trout, even walleye and muskie. It’s still plain old hard to distinguish bass from other species like these because they share many of the same habits and thermocline preferences. It is rare to be in a night tournament where the bite goes all night, almost always kicks in around 4am, and again about 6pm, lasting til 10:30-12, then shutting down. Sure, a few bites are caught, but I don’t think out of feed, only out of instinct to eat close opportunity. (Scavenge). You mentioned big worms? Well my friend, I too am a big worm aficionado!! Nothing goes in to the dead center, deepest, thickest part of the brush (where the shade is) and back out easily like a big worm. Many people tend to overweight them for brush fishing. Only need 1/4oz or so, otherwise, you’re gonna hang and spook your fish. Save the heavy stuff for dragging. Preach on brother, love your vids!!!

  8. I fish in Florida and you'd better be out there as early as u can. Bite 90 percent slows down in bluebird skies as the sun gets higher. Over cast/ front different story but any random day first light bite for me
