  1. There Are Guys Were I live At The California Delta That Have 300 HP Outboard I Live about 5 Min From a Popular Boat Launch Ram So Some Time When I Go Out tO the Store On the Mane Street I See a Lot Of Bass Boats I Have Seen 18' Bass boat With 300 Hp Outboard I Was Like What The… It Looked Crazy It's a  accident Waiting to Happen I Don't Know What He Was Thinking The Ca Delta Is Big So I Git It For GuysThat Have The Rite Size Boat

  2. I’ve always thought that the 1999 rule change from 150 to 250 was a mistake. I’ve had 5 different 18ft 150hp boats over the last 40 years and still run one. My buddies 150 powered 1996 Allison would do 80+ easy. If you had an advantage going that fast they would have sold more of them.

  3. Randy, let me start by saying I love your show, but I think you are beating this horse to death. We all know you do not NEED these huge motor's on a bass boat. We also realize people do not NEED a 10,000 square foot house to live in. We also realize it's a status symbol. This mind set will NEVER change for most people. Again I love your show.

  4. I will say this… my 9.8hp is WAY too fast and too loud for fishing.

I still have to turn it off to fish. Even idle is too fast unless trolling. 😂 (I would rather use my trolling motor for that!)

The hull of my 1436 Jon… is 135 lbs dry. I can drag the whole thing over a sand/mud bank, over oyster bars, and through tight cypress flats… and head out to those back pockets and get to where nobody, but kayaks can get to… BUT out further than kayaks can reach.

  5. Back when i sold firearms we called em horsepower guys.
You wouldn't believe how many times i heard "its not fun to shoot but i had to have one"

  6. Randy, I agree we don’t need 250hp on a bassboats. I have a 150 on mine. With that said, this is America, if people want the big motors, more power to them. Just get a 150 for yourself am be happy, and don’t worry what others have on their boats.

  7. Yes, it's a lot different when you have to pay for your own boats and motors and not get a sponsor boat. Most fishermen don't get new sponsor boats annually like you did in your career. We work at a real blue collar job and spend our hard earned money. Glad you are finally realizing what "bass pros" are learning how blue collar people fish.

  8. Randy why don’t you go get a jon boat and go fishing and leave everyone alone. Now that you don’t get a free brand new boat with a 250 no one should have one. Go kick rocks

  9. Randy, I'm 55 now and started fishing tournaments when I was 20 so I'm close to if not over 400 tournaments fished over the years. The highest HP that I have ever had is now, which I have a Ranger 178 with a 70 HP Yamaha. I'm a few minutes behind my partners 225 hp rig for each 10 mile run. No issues over the years and never felt I was not able to compete. Its a shame the marketing of the sport is what it is now and the local fisherman buying into it.

  10. Motors get bigger.Boats get bigger to handle them.More money.Trolling motors get bigger for bigger boat.4 batteries. More weight ,more money. Then you need a tandem trailer for this bigger boat.More weight, more money. Not even considering electronics or power pole.More money. Then of course you need a heavy duty truck to tow it.Tricked out with oversized tires and custom rims.Dont see how people do it

  11. One thing nice about bass fishing is that your choice of equipment can be basic from no boat bank fishing to paddle powered kayak to 250hp bass boat equipped with all the latest electronics

  12. randy sad story
my attorney who loved bass fishing
his dad was the senator for ga

    died in boat crash
yes bass boat both where in bass boat

clark hill lake lost one of my best friends and a freaking beast of attorney

  13. I got a 50- now obviously I don't fish the largest waters in the northeast; but for candlewood& the ct. river- 50 is just fine. Like I tell everyone else- " i aint never caught a bass at seventy miles an hour.

  14. Randy,
    1) Tak Ito earlier today at the St Clair open: “I’m not casting at 3 pounders, I’m only casting at 4 pounders and bigger.” 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    2) Please get rid of the history-deficient trolls.

  15. I fish a small, 800 acre lake. Guys with big bass boats fish there too. They run 200's and 250's and while not needed on such a small lake, they still insist on leaving the dock, throttling full up, blasting away and running 300 yards to their spot. where they shut it down. I run a 60HP on my boat and never run wide open on the lake even when I'm going from one end to the other. I think a lot of these guys with this boats and motors are really more interesting in hot-rodding and tournament competition than they are fishing. This is why they have no ethical problem with FFS and LS. They aren't really in it for the fishing part.
