Why Can't We Catch Bass Anymore? Fall Bass Fishing!

Fall bass fishing can be frustrating, and this trip to Collins Lake was a perfect example. In the summer, we often catch 15–20 fish in a day — but on this mid-fall outing, we could only manage 2 bass (and a Pike). We started with a paddle tail vs wacky rig challenge, but the real story became trying to figure out why the bite was so tough.

We tried different lures, different depths, and different approaches, but nothing seemed to unlock the pattern. Is this just normal mid-fall bass fishing, or are we missing something? Let us know what you would have done differently.
