Whopper plopper VS Berkley Choppo!! Top water bass fishing!!

I finally fish these two controversial lures side by side to see which one catches the most fish, the results were surprising. Both were fished on LEW’S speed spool MH combos and both were 90 series baits.

  1. Nice job Bro. I wish more Youtube reviews were this simple and concise. Sometimes people try to get too scientific and you end up with a long video of a guy doing a lot of double talk that adds up to a whole lot of nothing. This is what I wanted; a guy throwing both lures and catching fish. You helped me make a decision. Beautiful area too. Looks like the swamps and bayous here in South Louisiana.

  2. I have numerous of each, definitely catch more on the whopper easily 5-1. I feel the weight of the Whoppers better compared to the choppo, on retrieve the Choppo being lighter doesnโ€™t keep consistent action, itโ€™s even worse if the surface isnโ€™t completely still.

  3. Great video! I thought you assessment was fair and square! Makes me want to go out and buy a Whopper-Plopper even though I'm not a bass fisherman. Love the locations your filming at!

  4. I have 2 sets of 8, a total of 16 Whopper Floppers 90s and 2 Berkely Choppo 90's. I caught most of my fishes on Berkley Choppo 90's. I have caught 5 pounders on it few times and one that I couldn't bring it in as it bent the hook and released itself. However, I did notice that I was missing few fishes due to the barbs being worn out and replaced the hooks. Last few days, due to losing the Choppos, I used Whopper Floppers, but absolutely zero bites.

  5. When I used to do similar comparison tests years ago, I would try to use 2 anglers in the boat, one throwing each lure, and swap rods every five casts. I just felt like it gave a clearer picture, as well as increasing the sample size over the same period of time.

  6. Great video man I only have one question about the rods, I noticed the American heroโ€™s, the combo was that a 7 foot or the 6โ€™6โ€? I have a lees laser txs I got from academy 6โ€™6 I use on the river because I feel like Iโ€™m more accurate in tight places with it, just curious which length and power your American hero is, seems to handle the ploppers very well

  7. Wow that spot ur fishing looks like a tropical paradise in Singapore or some exotic country.i saw these french guys catching big catfish on the whopper plopper.maybe wells there very aggressive and I'm sure pull like a funny car

  8. I have caught alot of fish on 90 whopper plopper alot I've never used choppo but may try it its winter in Michigan but it's like 48 today and tomorrow it will be 20 so no fishing for a minute hate Michigan weather lol that river looks awesome

  9. I learned from another video also and have tried it i out a seedless treble on the bottom and a treble with the feather stuff on the back and gave it more presentation and it attracted attracted more bass with that little bit more of enticement on them.
