Matt Allen helps sort through all the swimbaits on the market to reveal the handful that consistently put fish in the boat season after season. There are lots of baits to choose from but a select few brands catch most of the trophy bass each year.

Tim too. I just don’t like the finesse crap that he does.

  2. I clicked on this one because Matt is awesome and it said 10 yrs ago… absolutely hilarious to see Matt 10 years ago and amazing to see how much him and the channel have grown!

  3. s-wavers and huddies work great but you lose one and have to replace it your late on a truck payment..there are some really great cheap swimbaits but you kinda gotta play around and find ones that are decent..storm makes great baits but CHANGE OUT THE HOOKS! lol when I first started I got like 5 swimbaits for 20 bucks..at the time I lost baits like crazy, learned from TB how to avoid losing tackle now I throw good baits..all depends on what you have to spend.

  4. I recently watched a video on lipless baits. You guys were talking about the LV500. I order 2. I got a American shad and the first time I tried it I caught a bass on the very first cast! Love this bait. Thanks for the info!

  5. As always Matt keeping it simple yet specific at the same time if you know what I mean… you have helped so many people become better fishermen.. You should be proud

  6. Have you ever fished the zman mag swimz? Just ordered some and they seem to be a pretty good weedless imitation, if so any tips? As well as if you have some beginner tips for a new huddleston fishermen. I'm up in canada so its turning to fall now, where should I throw it? Humps, ledges and points was what I was thinking.

  7. Just got into swimbait fishing not to long ago, I was very skeptic at first because of the amount of $ that goes into buying the swimbaits, plus the rod and reel you need, but I finally gave in. I was fishing regular baits for years (crank baits, spinner baits, plastics , etc.) I got into swimbaits because i kept getting outfished by all the guys with swimbaits. Got tired of fishing the same spot all day then some dude with a big swimbait walks up for 10 minutes and pulls out that 5 pounder I was trying to catch! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge in these videos I have learned a lot already. Thank you

  8. Have you guys ever thrown any of the Jenko booty shaker swimbaits? I bought some while they were on sale at TW and want to know more about them but haven't really found a substantial review over them.

  9. What color swimbait and what kind should I throw in dirty water? I live in nebraska and we have alot of clear lakes and alot of big dirty lakes and I want to explore dirty water more often

  10. Throwback to before the glide bait took the market by storm! Keep up the awesome work guys, I have learned more from this channel than every other bass fishing YouTube channel combined!!

  11. I would love to see an expansion on this video by breaking it out into four separate videos, one for each season. For each one, go into more detail about what baits to use, how to fish them, and WHY you do what you do. Maybe include big wake baits into the equation too, like the Spro rat 50 for example.
I've been looking for exactly this info for quite some time and I plan on fishing this weekend and I'm going to be spending at least one whole day throwing big glide baits… S Waver 200 and Duel Hardcore Twitch Ninja. I'll be documenting the whole thing on video too so hopefully I will find some success.
By the way… who is this teenager doing this video? He looks a lot like Matt.

  12. I caught record fish like 4 different species I not turn them in but lakes have huge fish even here in the east I caught a gar long as the boat she pulled me all the way across the lake an half way back before I got it to boat….one secret people catching biggest fish in the lake fish the river channel that fish stayed in the river channel the whole time….that same point I caught two state record bass two state record hybrids an even yellow perch I had a catfish I fault over 2 hours before the hook pulled out it was so big I was using huge rods with big line…my bait was lb to 2lb brim

  13. Hey, so I'm from Austin Texas and we throw big swimbaits here and I've been chucking around the deps 250 and suicide glide and 8 inch hudd around and only have caught a couple fish. I've also thrown the osprey too and 1 fish. The thing that is really catching here is them here is the BBZ and dual hardcore twitchin ninja. I really want to get a nice one on the 68 special. Any tips on how to fish it to draw in those tanks.

  14. Hey Matt! Three questions for ya. 1. Would you recommend a palomar knot for swimbaits or a different knot??? And 2. I've got a Huddleston 68 weedless in black gizzard shad .. any tips to throw it this time of year ? I have a 168 swaver as well but I think I have more confidence in a soft plastic bait.. could y'all do a suicide duck challenge? I think it'd be cool to see those clear lake bass inhale it ! There's not too many videos on it and I'd like to see someone make one .. thanks !

  15. Make a video on bluegill style swim baits, western Pennsylvania has a ton a small- bluegill. There are a few videos on here but none of them break down the baits the way you do! Thanks for the videos and all the shared knowledge you are awesome!
