Welcher has done well at npfl this year.
I think a better comparison would be to compare the middle of the pack guys to see if it's actually sustainable to not be at the top of the league but still make enough to stick around. Caleb Sumrall finished 30th in AOY for the Elites this year and made $71,000. Ron Nelson finished 30th in AOY for the BPT and only made $40,000. That is a significant difference. Livesay made nearly $100k in 20th on the Elites. Bobby Lane finished 20th and made half as much money. The Elite Series pays more throughout the field than the BPT.
I’m surprised Taku is in there! I love the guy and do think he’s that good but I didn’t think he’d rank like that 😊
If you dint take heavy hitters and the classic and red crest away mlf blows away bass mlf would be close to a million
Take away FFS and it changes everything
Yes, a little surprised . However, for all the criticism the MLF gets, it seems, it pays. Next, year, with the field being reduced. I would assume, the results will be further apart. A video, next year, if the same 5 from each league are in the top payouts.
I am not surprised at all. Money is a big factor as to why the anglers jumped ship, they can say it was other reasons but we all know that money rules the day.
DC has won 2 Redcrests, However not 2 in a row Bryan Thrift won last year..
Why did you take away the Classic and Red Crest ? DC has won back to back Red Crest. That's $600,000 for those two tournaments alone. If you add that to DC's winnings he would be over $1,000,000 by himself. That would put MLF ahead by quite a bit more. I understand not allowing Heavy Hitters because BASS has no Heavy Hitters event. Honestly, that gives MLF two free events that BASS only gives one, right ? Does BASS have a Heavy Hitters tournament like MLF ? If you're wondering 🤔, yes, I like MLF way better than BASS. 🤣🤣
Don''t forget, many of the pros fish local/regional tournaments! This is one of my pet peves; if your a pro you don't fish with non-pros!
Does it cost more to be in one league over the other? Just wondering if the money win difference also come with an expense difference. 🤔
