Where Have the Bassmaster Classic FANS GONE During the Weigh-ins?

Where have the B.A.S.S. Bassmaster Classic fans gone during the weigh-ins? Why are the stands empty during the biggest bass fishing event and when anglers are weighing in their fish? Are fans unhappy with fisherman bringing 5 fish over the stage to weigh in? Are the unhappy with costs of parking for the event? Is the weigh-in TO LONG? Where did everyone go?

  1. The livescope haters blame everything on livescope. That’s just an obsession. It’s most likely driven by time between events and total costs of parking and entry. The hassle of traffic.

  2. I was there on Saturday. The expo was awesome, but I definitely think BassTrakk takes away from some of the excitement of the weigh in. Parking was definitely complicated as well. Having BassTrakk basically tells you what to expect at weigh in. It was also way to long as well. The angler weigh ins weren't that bad, but getting there took way to long. There were quite a few anglers that didn't use FFS though, so it was cool to listen to anglers talk about how they caught them on something other than a minnow or jerkbait lol. I don't enjoy using FFS all that much, so the more I can learn about catching them without it, the better

  3. The sport has got away from traditional fishing all these forward facing sonar thousands of dollars normal fisherman can't afford they use to didn't have this guys that were champions figure it out without live scope let's see how these guys would rank without live scope

  4. 3 events in 3 different places on the same day. At least 2 charged for parking. They trucked the fish over an hour away, waited for weigh in, and trucked an hour back. Ridiculous!!! The weather didnt help, but really why would you go to the weigh in, if you went to the take off, and then the expo?

  5. The BASS weigh-ins stink. I stopped going to them since they are way Too long, boring, having listening to the same thing from each guy. No way I'm wasting money to attend them again.

  6. Being an X-Texas resident and an Oklahoma Resident now I can tell you a huge mistake that was made on the Ray Roberts Tournament. First off the Freeway construction between Ray Roberts and Ft Worth is atrocious. That was mistake #1. Mistake #2. Making the weigh in an hour 1/2 from Ray Roberts…..who wants to drive in all that construction, an already hour and a half drive that will add another hour because of all the highway construction. This tournament was just not well thought out. Not a judgment against anyone…..just saying how bad construction is between here and there.

  7. They need the weigh-in next to the expo. They picked different venues. Last time in Fort Worth they were all in one place. They moved the expo this time. And the weigh-ins are too long, you can be at the expo until 5:00, drive home, and watch on the computer.

  8. Because it's not really fishing anymore it's playing video games and why go there when you play a video game on your TV that livescope thing is destroying our fishing industry and it's destroying our Fisheries and it's not even true fishing anymore I wouldn't be I wouldn't I would not watch bass anymore if you paid me I wouldn't go to a fast tournament if you paid me to go all it is is video games anymore which is BS go back to fishing hey you know what the goat KVD didn't play video games when he went fishing why can't these guys fish like a normal person outlaw livescope

  9. No one wants to see the best fish in the lake being killed. At least MLF has catch weigh release. Except in some of the invitationals where they too kill fish. I will not even watch my recorded shows if it is 5 fish BORING even with release. I will never ever watch a kill the fish recording.

  10. A number of factors – all mentioned by you. Parking Fees, Separate locations for Weigh-in and Expo, painfully slow weigh-in. I went, enjoyed it, but got really tired before it was over.

  11. It has turned into a joke/dog and pony show.
Get a fkn clue….If BASS doesnt wake up they will completely sink the ship.
Having a weigh in that far away and stressing those fish during spawn is unethical AF.

  12. I think you’re somewhat correct. I hate paying the dumb parking fee. We have a new show in the Bay region that has no parking fee. In its second year it has doubled in attendance and venders. They have a few companies that rent blow up domes. Keep it local to the ramp. 👍👍

  13. I’m gonna be honest, it’s not the young guys that are making their way up in the sport fault. They know all they have to do is perfect FFS and they have a chance to win. They don’t need to know anything else. That being said…

I don’t care about a bunch of no namers staring at a screen all day at the front of their boat. I’d rather go get a colonoscopy

  14. Has nothing to do with parking costs… has everything to do with noone knows who is fishing cept a few. Will be interested in seeing how the Red Crest does next weekin Guntersville.

  15. So many say it’s FFS, which it is, but those same people have on their own boats. Lol, you’re the ones that allow it to happen because you all purchase it. If no one bought the damn thing and only the pros bought it, it wouldn’t exist. Stupid fake pros out there

  16. I personally think charging fans to park is ludicrous, why are bassmasters trying charge fans when it’s on various media platforms. You are taking away the live fan base that honors and supports the anglers. Dumb idea not to encourage fans but to penalize them.

  17. Because it's computer gaming now. It had nothing to do with fishing or someone's skill to fish. Nobody wants to watch that. They can their kids do that at home. I'm sorry. But it has
nothing to do with the price of parking. Take away the screens and make fishing exciting again and people will go.
