When The Fat Gitzit Almost Took Over Bass Fishing
The double dipped Gitzit was put on the map by Doug Garrett and back to back megabucks win.
The Guido bug was my fav.
Guido and Shaw Grisby were the tube masters. I loved Guido, I ran into him at an airport when he was sick, I told him that I loved him. His wife was so kind. His boy ain’t no slouch! Could you imagine a derby using baits made from like 1972 to 1982! That would be epic. I have some riggings that i figured out and I also would use it as a jerk bait
After watching him on an episode of Bassmaster a long time ago, skip that gitzit under cables and docs and use it for site fishing. It was definitely a game changer for me. Fish gitzits for years with much success. He was definitely one of the great ones.
I like the old stuff.
I have a box full still chunk them in the buck brush still produce. Cherish the ones I have.
