What’s Happening Roland?

This is the update of the week for the third week of December! Today I’m fishing with Mike Vivier and his daughter Chelsea from Montreal, Canada. Chelsea just landed a big bass almost 8 pounds on a shiner in the south end of Lake Okeechobee. We’re fishing artificials and shiners but the shiners are 4-5 times better than the lipless crank baits, worms and topwater that we are throwing! The water has cooled down these last several weeks bringing on a good live bait bite! Yesterday was also a good shiner day with another big bass over 7 pounds! Earlier this week I was guiding on Headwaters Lake with an insane shiner bite where we were using 8 dozen shiners a day and getting bit on every one of them with a dozen bass from 4.5 to 8.5 pounds! That’s some quality bass fishing!
