Hey there Bass University fans, it’s Lee Livesay, and today we’re diving into the exciting world of shallow power fishing for Smallmouth bass. These guys don’t always hang out in the deep stuff, you know. They love those sandy, rocky, and grassy areas in about 2 to 10 feet of water. It’s some of the most fun fishing you can do – big baits, big hooks, big lines, and some of the biggest Smallmouth you’ll ever catch.
Today, we’ll keep it real simple. It’s all about what you see, mapping, time on the trolling motor, and those trusty polarized glasses. We’ll cover some setups, like the vibrating jig (chatterbait jackhammer) and swimbait, and how to work ’em. So stay tuned as we power fish for Smallmouth bass and go shallow to reel in some hogs!
