My Profile:
http://www.mattstefanfishing.com/

I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.

  1. Get berkley to make a stunna that sinks faster. Love the Stunna now but would love another version that sinks faster. I bought the Lucky craft lightning 100 dd sinking but it sinks too slow

  2. I have tried multiple brands, and while I do like the action of the Megabass vision 110 especially the jr size, I have had my best luck on the Shimano World Minnow and especially the Zumverno in Pro Blue. The secondary flash boost action is amazing and it has tripled my catches compared to the Stunna or the Vision 110, try it out!

  3. Great video matt…I'm looking at giving that new Booyah Flashpoint jerkbait some casts…its got a small willow blade attached to the head of it which is something different than the trend of imitating a megabass vision 110 that seems like most lure companies been doin..they're coming out with a deep diver to

  4. Matt: On my favorite body of water Iโ€™ve found a bait with life like coloring works best. Perch, bluegill, small bass, etc. No genius here, but it works for me. Thanks again for your great videos! Awesome! God Bless.

  5. I remember catching some nice bass on the spoonbill minnow from rebel while trolling and cast and retrieve style of fishing and with these newer designs I've been lost. Ive bought about 10 with the small lips but never have put them in the water. Thanks for the tips. I'm definitely going to give them a try

  6. I used about 80% of the Jerkbaits that are out there. I really like the Jackall ReRange as well as the MegaBass Vision Jr +1 they have a more subtle rattling than others, I think. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  7. Mega bass 110 Jr +1 and Stunna 112 are my favorites. Happy to see the Stunna coming in the 100 size. Iโ€™m anxious to give it a try. Shad Filet is my favorite color. Great for locating fish.

  8. I seen a video on the megabass jerkbaits. All of them from small to big. The plus 1 had the most darting action out of them all. Very cool underwater video. I can't remember the channel but it was neat.

  9. I use the Jackall Rerange a lot, with good results.
I like the vision 110 like everyone else but the hooks are too flimsy. I had a giant smallie straighten one out last week.
I know the weight of the hooks affects the action and "suspending," action of the bait SO, I looked up Matt's soft o ring video. I found that if I use a stronger treble, (I think it's a #6 Gama I used) with the braided "soft o ring," that Matt suggested, I was within .03 grams of the original weight. I only used it a short time without a hit, but it looked the same as with the original treble hooks.

  10. I was using a black backed translucent with chrome inside rapala yesterday and was kinda wishing it had a lip that would dive deeper. It suspended excellently but needless to say didn't catch anything. Honestly I have never had luck with jerkbait but it's kinda my goal to keep trying, maybe I'll get a few different ones to play with. Thanks for the info Matt.
