MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!

I commented on your Facebook post about the info rule gets rid of the Grey area. But I thought they changed the rule a few months ago saying that EQ anglers were not allowed to get any info after the schedule was out. So why the new change? If they can't police the no info rule before 1 Jan, how can they police it after? Can't wait to hear all about some angler winning AOY and other anglers and their segregates/family saying on social media, " They only won because they bought 37,424 waypoints on New Year's Eve at 11:59p.m. and my guy decided not to." The biggest problem they have this year is unknown anglers going to others and telling them they believe so and so is cheating and then the rumors hit Social Media and start chirping about it. To me if you're going to put it out like that you should have receipts and proof before possibly ruining someone's career especially if its BS. On the MLF side I believe they did probably the best they could do with FFS rule. I like that High School it's banned because it evens the playing field for the kids as those with parents who can afford the tech are not hurting those kids who want to fish but their parents can't afford to have it. from the BFL upward we are all adults, and we have the option to purchase what we want. I like the new BFL rule that says no more boat-on-boat draw. It is really easy to get a link before the season starts if you are going to fish the full schedule. both boaters and co's can spend less time bitching on the find a link page on MLF Facebook then using it to bitch about everything. I apologize for the rant Todd.

Yeah whatever on the rules changes. The real story right now is that after at least a year and a half I'm the proud owner of A BUNCH of Owner Haymakers. Finally!

Does anyone actually believe anglers don't get info why does it matter everyone knows the best spots on lakes fish move .I saw if you want to make it fair don't tell them which lake your fishing until 2weeks before…and info Todd for example would dominate on Texas lakes he knows al the juice why should someone who never fished there be at a disadvantage

This channel is becoming the Randy light channel I'll tell you what's wrong with everything these days it's social media and making big money for drama it's infested everything we do nowadays and has caused nothing but hated on both sides from politics to fishing to racing to everything and money and fame is at the root of all of it!

The information rule BASS put in place is just stupid.

Pros or angulars aspiring to pro are being penalized. They grew up with the technology and learned how to use it. Now you want to take their form of fishing away. Yet the "old guard" that didn't grow up with it is crying fowl for various reasons. Then fine, due what golf did. Regular tour and a senior tour. Times are changing. Technology is here to stay. You can delay it, but not stop it. I dont agree with a lot of changes in how I have to live life. But I have no choice but to adapt or get left behind. It's the way of the world. Deal with it like everyone else.
Bass has been taking it shins all year.
I don't have a problem with any of the leagues stances on FFS. I think its great for the anglers to have choices to fish how they want.
The BASS no info was a massive screw up. They should just do away with no info rather than this halfass rule

Man I was actually pretty happy with the way BASS,MLF and the NPFL handled the FFS rules…. But this new information rule has pissed me off more than anything I’ve ever seen in “pro” fishing. Absolutely demented.
BASS has added $$$$ way more $$$$ expenses for there Elite Anglers…

5 lures,1 rod, and row boats. Grand prize….a trophy. The more the elite series complain about these new rules, the less they will have.!!! Fishing for a living. That's the top issue. If you want to find gold…dig for it.
Todd, the complicated part with MLF Rule isn't in the BPT. It's the rules now with the Toyota series and BFL. Not really the screen height off the deck. But the screen height at rhe console. 16" above the steering column???? Well, what point on the steering column are the measuring from? What if the column tilts? Just a lot, they didn't clarify in that press release. I have a 16" Lowrance at the steering wheel on my 721 Phoenix, and I'm not sure it would be legal.

Okay let me ask you a couple questions. Do you pay attention to dock talk? Would you actually pay for information or waypoints from some guy you have never fished with or never met? I hope not! The Elits that have fished for more than five years probably have more waypoints than they can run on any lake on the schedule this year, there is nothing new.
It's a no win situation for the young guys,if they don't catch them every one will say SEE they can only use electronics. If they catch them they want get any praise and ones crying will find something else to cry about. This entire issue is social media driven.

percent with you on everything I would love to see what these guys can do without FFS too and would like to see what Ray Scott would say to FFS and I also saw a channel where they asked high school tournament anglers if they would quit or keep fishing if they took FFS away and most said they would quit
High school and college fishing should ban it.
BASS should have limited the number of FFS fish in their limit…..like 2 of 5.

Todd, again thanks for keeping it real! Why in the hell did BASS announce their schedule for 2025 now? if they would not have announced it until January 2, 2025 then they would not be in this position and it would be easy to police. They could have a polygraph question something like the following for starters, were you given a list of lakes that were to be fished in the 2025 BASS season before January 2, 2025 or did you in any way have knowledge of any of the lakes that were to be fished in the 2025 BASS season prior to January 2 2025. It almost looks like BASS is catering to some group or someone by announcing the schedule like this and allowing people to get information up until January 1 2025. This is such a bad look for BASS. I am not even sure if BASS was to try and walk this decision back now it would make it better for them, it might show even more weakness and indecisiveness. It has got to be the biggest black eye I can ever remember in 40 plus years of following BASS for me. I guess that is why icons of the sport are stepping away like Mark Zona and Rick Clunn because they could see the writing on the wall and they did not want to be any part of it any more. I know KVD was fishing MLF but I am sure it was stuff like this that made him step away from that organization early too.

With all three leagues doing something different maybe we will see what works best. I’ve been bass fishing for 43 years and don’t really care about all the drama but I am curious as to how well the young guys do without ffs. I think the fishermen who live or die by technology are gonna struggle but over time some will figure things out. Unfortunately I think the real drama has just begun
