  1. I used a Golddigger to fish a rain swollen river from shore for a couple hours today. I caught one nice Smallmouth in the beginning but realized I had accidentally rigged the bait upside down. I corrected that after releasing the Smallmouth and proceeded to use the bait properly, but caught nothing the remaining hour and a half!
I'm wondering, does rigging a paddle tail upside down make it run deeper? Maybe the upside down tail tends to push the lure down? What do you think?

  2. I've been learning salt water inshore fishing tactics in the carolinas. your site has given me some of the best info from tying knots (which i never had issue with brook trout fishing in the northeast) to baits and techniques. today i tried tony's tip on cutting the tip off the end of the slim shady (purchased thru salt strong!) used the "cut" shady with a trout eye jighead on 10 lb braid and a 15 lb leader strapped up on my toadfish rod and penn 2000 reel. (also tried mr. juice today!) i fish a narrow intercostal tidal creek…from the shore. had an 18" speckled trout "SLAM"" my shady today! boy that trout tasted good for dinner! love the info from tony and the brothers! "tight lines"

  3. I ordered on June 8th. It's August 25th and I still don't have them. Left them a phone message, but haven't heard back. I'm sure it's just a fluke, and they will make it up to me. we'll see.

  4. In took this lure in white with the same jig head to Hawaii the last two weeks. I tried other lures off the shore and rocks and nothing worked. I tried the package you sent me to check out and I’ started catching fish. The natives were looking at me like what the hell was going on. It worked! I put a young man in our family on a 4 foot trumpet fish which weighted 7lbs. The lure held up getting caught on rocks and Coral. My next test will be out of the channel Islands in California for a calico bass and yellow tail. Then trying for Land-locked striped bass in Lake Castaic California along with large mouth. I expect these lures will at least the attract them. I did not find them hard to rig.

  5. So i noticed the only difference i see is that when upside down it kinda pulls the tail down wich might help to keep it higher in the water column. Watch the side by side and you'll see what i mean

  6. Not to be an a$$ but did you guys create a product that you have to alter to make it work after you buy it? Lol don’t get me wrong! I use them but is funny! Why don’t you guys manufacture it that way and save some product in the process? 😜😳

  7. Even though it states on the package to not mix these with PVC plastic baits, you guys should remind us every now and then. I just ruined 2 new bags because I emptied them into my bait box of mixed plastics. The Zmam baits turn to gooey unusable mush.

  8. Good stuff. I'm always asked " dose that really work" " is that even possible" ? When I use some of these techniques. I was told a long time ago by and old school angler " fish are opportunistic feeders".
