Is the weedless ned rig guaranteed to catch bass? I usually do pretty well when fishing with a typical ned rig. But I am having trouble hooking bass on this specific ned rig jig head. Today I tried to bend the hook and open the gap. The problem is, I Can’t Get a BITE! It’s like fishing in the amazon rain forest out here in Tennessee. I stuch with the weedless ned rig the whole time and caught zero largemouth bass. I will have to try it again, conquer the weedless ned head, and land a bass. But is it guaranteed? Hell no. #fishing #realistic

You’re not alone. Yesterday, I got skunked in a very cute (but otherwise overrated) lake. Lol, only my dad caught a quarter ponder with cheese (if not, a half pounder) early on. Happy he’s getting some fish after a while.
Since I usually only get to fish at really pressured urban ponds, it's a pleasant surprise when I don't get skunked! When people ask why I bother, I just shrug and say, "There's a reason it's called fishing, not catching." But you make getting skunked fun and educational to watch!
Since the Olympics are happening now you receive a Gold Medal for balance on the log. That is not easy and you do it well
Now that was realistic! Way to get out there and try!
Another very realistic video Alex! Thank you for sharing! Just wanted to let you know that I'm taking a little break from YouTube for a while. I keep up with over a hundred channels with complete loyalty to their content and have been doing this for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, maintaining my support has completely wore me down. Not leaving, but my reply times will be much slower for a while. Appreciate you buddy! Keep up the great work!
Wow. I thought for sure you would get a fish. Watching til the end, anticipating a bite.
Looked like good conditions too. I think that’s the first time I’ve seen you get skunked.very realistic!
Respect! We have all had those walks.
Wow! tough day.
Ooooo that smell……LOL That;s KIR
How’s that saying go you learn more from failure than you do from success
Got skunked tonight when i went out to my local pond. Almost got a couple snapping turtles though
Props on sticking with the new technique despite no bites! That’s the only way to learn a new one is by keeping it tied on no matter what.

Truly appreciated this video Alex! I wouldn't have thought to bend the hook out like that, so I appreciate that tip. And I appreciate the fact that you stuck with that lure! Truly a real and realistic video! Thank you for always keeping it realistic Alex
Can’t wait until it cools down a bit- I’ve been living that skunk life these past few weeks
Sup Alex, I've opened some hooks up and worked, I've also opened too much and it snapped catching a fish lol. Still need a bite tho. We don't try then might as well stay home
, tyvm tc
Remember, if you ain't catching you're learning… And I feel like I should be a genius by now. LOL!
Weedless neds have been just working for me. Even got a channel cat on one!
Loved hearing those cicadas!!! They have different sound than ones we had earlier this spring when soooooooo many were out!!! Thanks for another epic video Alex

At least you're still trying it and making slight modifications. I've done similar things and haven't gotten a single bite on a ned rig. But that's not going to keep me from trying.
Thanks for explaining this technique.
It took Lawson 40 tries before he had the correct formula for WD-40. Keep it up Alex… That's just one attempt!
Alex my man that is why I appreciate you and your channel, I pointed out that pointless point and you even emphasized it on this try… Thank you sir, I think it is fair to say some things work in some areas and others don’t.
Believe it or not I have never caught a fish on a wacky rig no matter how many times I try
It's nice to know that even Alex can get skunked. Thanks for sharing. KiR!!!
That’s a good looking Ned Rig Alex, in spite of the fishing.
