We Went Musky Fishing… Then the Bass Took Over

We headed out on Lake Waconia for a morning of musky fishing, hoping to catch a muskie before the morning was over. The conditions looked promising, but after spending time throwing for musky and pike without any action, the day took an unexpected turn.

My dad picked up a decent bass on a Ned rig, but we kept moving around and throwing for musky before eventually switching things up. From there, we started catching bass and ended up salvaging the morning with several fish.

In this video, we’re fishing Lake Waconia out of our Lund boat and trying different spots and techniques while searching for musky, pike, and bass.
