We Went Looking for Florida's Lost Exotic Fish…

Did Florida’s historic polar blast wipe out some of the state’s most iconic exotic fish?

We headed to two locations that were once home to thriving populations of exotic species to see what survived. Unfortunately, things didn’t start well after our brand-new cast net was immediately snagged, but we kept exploring anyway.

Along the way we caught Mayan Cichlids, Tilapia, Jewel Cichlids, Plecos, Gar, Bluegill, and Largemouth Bass while searching for one species we hoped was still there… Peacock Bass.
