Blue fish.
Bleed it.
Filet it.
Bake the filets with butter and Cavender’s All Purpose Greek Seasoning in a glass dish.
Serve over a bed of Jasmine Rice.
Any side will do.
Bluefish aren't bad if they're fresh. We've always cleaned and cooked (fried) same day. They taste very similar to mullet that way.
Great fishing trip video! Huge redfish and pb pinfish! I sure didn’t expect to see a huge pinfish like that.
Excellent video Team
They have a contest in North Carolina on pinfish I have seen them grow 2 to 3 lbs
You say what you want but if you bleed them and leave the skin on and put them on the grill make sure you have melted butter with Limon and pepper and old bay is another great season for blues
We eat
Them in nc gotta be fresh .. fry make tacos or smoke them
I fished NC waters for a long time, just gotta bleed them Blues right and they ain’t bad 💪
Got some nice Reds!
That released red looked like it had a spot of worms anyway
Blue = cut bait…
Great day fishing 👍
that was one big pin fish my god
You have to bleed bluefish. And then they're still horrible to eat. 😂
Blue fish are good. Bleed them, keep them cold. eat them fresh. you don't want to freeze them. I like to use house of autry fish fry.
It tastes like monkey butt.
Bluefish are great if you bleed em. I’ve only ever fried them though.
Great eating size bluefish. Fillet and grill or smoke them. Smoking is the best. You do not know what you are missing. Smoked bluefish pate. They get really big and that is when people complain. I have eaten them up to 18lbs, just cook them a different way. Smoking always is good.
Smoke and make fish dip
Wanted Sheepshead but got other stuff. Cant beat it.
Hey Nate ,Thanks for sharing love your content, I'm in Florida now but ate a lot of Blue Fish up in Connecticut,,
Best recipe I've ever used on them is as follows.
Bleed them out and keep iced .
take fillets and put them on a sheet of foil ,season with pepper and a little Old Bay (not too much)
add sliced Sweet onions, peppers ,and Tomatoes….
sprinkle a little white wine over the top
add 2 pats of butte and a squirt of Lemmon .
Wrap tight in the foil ,throw it on the grill medium heat .
15 minutes flip it over 5 minutes on second side .and enjoy
absolutely best I've had people tell me I'm lying it's NOT bluefish………You can Thank me Later…LOL
I love it, 📴 of course I'm from Long Island .
Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺 Watching ,, From Bali Indonesia on Holidays 😂😂,, Merry Christmas Nate 🏝️🏖️🧉🧉
That a porgy??
Yes, I’m in Jacksonville Florida. I eat bluefish all the time. I think they’re fantastic as long as you eat them small under 2 pounds. They’re fantastic. I’ve even left fillets that I filleted and I was so lazy. I totally forgot them in the refrigerator for basically four days and they were so delicious not fishy whatsoever.
Great video. The overall best inshore fish to catch to me is a red
Gettem Nate . Enjoyed
Hey man the blue fish are wonderful to eat fresh. Soak them in milk for 20-30 minutes then season, bread, and fry. Trust me on this, I’ve eaten them this way for years.
I gave up on bluefish over 15 years ago because I just couldn't handle the oily taste. But this year, I discovered a fantastic way to prepare it that gets rid of that greasiness! If you bleed the fish properly and filet it right away, then let it marinate in milk for 24 hours—voilà! You're in for a delightful treat!
In my first comment, I told you about the chain Pickerel. Anyway, if you know, Brant Peacher from Angler up with Brant, he did a catch and cook video with chain, Pickerel, and the way he cleaned the fish was unlike any other fish cleaning I’ve ever seen. He said that you had to do it that way, something to do with trying to fillet them the regular way makes them not taste as good as they can be if cleaned the way he did them.
I eat bluefish, and I happen to like them a lot, but I’m the same guy who told you that chain pickerel were good eating, and you tried them and didn’t like them.
(I got a few things that I was going to say, so I’ll put it in different comments)
As long as you bleed the bluefish and eat fresh (never freeze) they are good little stronger than most fish but makes great smoked fish dip
When I was a kid we would fish for bluefish off the bridge going to Destin. They ate pretty well.
I have ate them before and they are really good to eat you have to wrap them up in aluminum foil with a little bit of butter onion, bell pepper, salt and pepper and let them cook. And they're really, really good that way
bluefish are fine to eat if you bleed them right away. Then just cut out the line in the meat when cleaning them.
Great video 🤙🏾🤙🏾
