We Thought These Bass Would Be Easy… We Were Wrong

Shad were jumping everywhere, and we thought we had these bass figured out… Polk Daniels had other plans. 😂

My buddy Mikey invited me out for my FIRST time fishing from a boat! After doing so well here on my last visit, we figured Polk Daniels would be the perfect place to go. Baitfish everywhere, shad presentations tied on, and a full day to chase some bass—what could go wrong?

What followed was eight hours of some of the toughest fishing I’ve ever experienced. But between the laughs, good company, and a few moments that kept us casting, my first boat trip was one I won’t forget. Huge thanks to Mikey for getting me out on the water!
