We Lost Our Minds Bass Fishing in the Heat!

What started as a normal day of bass fishing in Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba slowly turned into one of the dumbest fishing trips we’ve had all summer.

We hit the water looking for smallmouth bass, but between the brutal summer heat slowly made us lose our minds as the day went on. The actual fishing became only part of the story. Somehow the trip included catching bass, a brutal jig to the nuts, stripping down to our underwear to survive the heat, jumping into the lake and having a Manitoba conservation officer / game warden show up at possibly the worst moment imaginable.

This is Manitoba fishing at its finest: beautiful Canadian wilderness, bass fishing in Whiteshell Provincial Park, summer fishing, fishing with friends, and enough bad decisions to turn a simple fishing adventure into complete chaos.
