I hit a North Florida river with Creek Donkey on a mission to catch a Suwannee bass. I ended up landing a largemouth and the fish I came for. And wait till you see the bass Creek Donkey hooks into.

Suwannee bass are a native black bass with a limited range. In Florida, you can catch them in the Suwannee, Santa Fe, Ichetucknee, Wakulla, St. Marks, Wacissa, and Ochlockonee rivers. Look for moving water around limestone ledges and submerged wood. Crawfish are a big part of their diet, so a small craw-colored jig or crankbait is a good place to start.
