There are so many Senko-style baits for wacky rigs. Which ones are the best? Is there a difference? And what can we do to make all Senko-style baits work better? Do weighted wacky rigs do better than weightless versions?

Steve thanks some much for sending the PDF , I really enjoyed
it . I would consider myself a Wacky Worm Freak LOL .
To things to add , price , Mostly
Do they catch fish . I have found under 5 ft and less Yum Dingers
Will give Yamamoto a serious run
for its fish catching ability. 1/3 the price , yes painful slow sink . But Bass choke them down. Bottom line that’s what really matters to me ❤
Man thanks for doing the leg work Steve cool to know!
YOU ARE THE MAN STEVE!
My favorite is the general. One thing I like about the general, is when you work it through the water and stop like we do with all stick baits. The general will hunt. It won’t just shimmy straight back down sometimes it with fall to one side or the other, which I believe generates more strikes.
Awesome video!!! Nice to see what action a stick bait has when wacky rigged. Thanks for the stat sheet much appreciated!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
I think this also shows that there's inconstancy in brands, I've used ones that scored low like the BPS Stik-O and Gambler Ace and they've had much better action weightless than in this video, was actually surprised at how bad they looked here. Either way, I have yet to see a Yamamoto fail on action. At this point I've stopped trying different brands and just settled on the Yamamoto or Reaction Innovations Pocket Rocket when throwing a wacky rig, and a Gambler Ace/Fat Ace on a weighted texas rig/when I want to flip a stick bait. No reason to try anything else when they all consistently produce.
Anyway, enjoyed the video!
Great video, at the end of the days for me , it’s the OG Senko “ Gary Yamamoto”🐟on. One always said “ if not broken “ no need for replacement
What a really thorough video! Great process and highly repeatable. I feel that's how experimentation should be. The setup you used to find the breaking point of each worm was really impressive!
Excellent Video Steve! Amazing research, much appreciated!
If you take those stick baits with no fall action and ball them up in your hand and roll them around a little bit they soften up and they really come alive. Makes a huge difference
Impressive and insightful!!! Thanks for putting this together Steve
Dang Steve now you have all those packs I need you to do another one rigged on EWG or straight shank! The Hydrilla is growing again out here in Texas and my home lake is covered in it all summer so wacky rigs are a headache but I love weightless Texas rig 😁
Thank You for the test results PDF and love all your videos on bass fishing
Thanks Steve! Interesting results…
great video!!
Absolute GOLD. Thanks!
Softer bait will have more action but be weaker.
More salt (weight) makes them fall faster but weaker.
I make my own Stick baits with my own plastic formula that is very soft and very durable. I wacky rig them with an o-ring and easily catch 20+ Bass. They also are more transparent so show color and glitter better. Big companies could do similar but if they lasted longer, people would not come back for more.
I'm a big believer in the maxscent general.
Wow, thanks for doing all this testing! I'm addicted to hands on science of fishing so I will never miss one of these and I'll probably save it to watch again later too. I was surprised to see the Z-man take a sort of spiral decent like a tube almost. I wonder if that was a consistent pattern.
